Simulated location
Set the location that the device reports, so you can test location-based features without traveling.
Set a location
Section titled “Set a location”- Select the device.
- Enter coordinates, or select a point.
- Click Apply.
Apps that request location receive the simulated position. The simulation is temporary. It ends when you stop it or disconnect the device.
Common uses
Section titled “Common uses”Region-specific content. Test catalogs, prices or legal text that vary by country.
Geofences. Test entry and exit behavior from your desk instead of traveling to the boundary.
Distance and sorting. Check that results such as “nearest location” are correct from different positions.
Empty states. Test how the app behaves at coordinates where you have no data, such as the middle of an ocean.
Permission flows. Test the app with location allowed, denied or set to approximate.
What it does not change
Section titled “What it does not change”- It changes the reported position, not the network. Requests still come from your real IP address. Services that locate users by IP address are not affected. A mismatch between the two is also worth testing.
- It does not change language, region or time zone. These are separate device settings. An app that reads
Locale.currentsees no difference. - It does not simulate movement. It sets a single point. To test a route, set a series of points.
- Some apps detect it. Apps with anti-spoofing checks may behave differently or refuse to run. KeyMob does not bypass these checks.
For testing only
Section titled “For testing only”Simulated location is a testing feature. Using it to misrepresent your location to a service, for example to gain an advantage in a game, bypass a regional restriction or falsify a record, is not permitted by the user agreement. Depending on the service, it may also violate its terms or the law.
Clear the simulated location
Section titled “Clear the simulated location”Stop the simulation or disconnect the device. If the device still reports the wrong location afterwards, restart it. The simulation does not persist after a restart.
