Install
KeyMob is a desktop application. You do not need to install anything on the device.
Download the build for your platform from the download page, then follow the steps below.
Windows
Section titled “Windows”Requires Windows 10 or later, 64-bit (x86_64). Install these two components once, before first use:
- Apple device driver. Windows does not include one. Without it, the device charges but does not appear in the device list. This is the most common first-run problem. Download the driver, unzip it and run the installer.
- WebView2 Runtime. KeyMob uses it to display its interface. Windows 11 includes it; Windows 10 often does not. Download the runtime.
Then unzip KeyMob and run the executable.
Requires macOS 10.15 Catalina or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel. Download the matching build.
Unzip it and drag the app into /Applications.
If the first launch is blocked
Section titled “If the first launch is blocked”Gatekeeper blocks apps downloaded outside the App Store the first time they run. The message usually says the app “cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified”.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Scroll to the Security section and find the message about KeyMob.
- Click Open Anyway, then confirm.
You only need to do this once.
Disk and memory
Section titled “Disk and memory”KeyMob needs about 100 MB of disk space and 1 GB of RAM. Performance captures are written to disk while they run, so keep free space on the drive where you save them.
Updating
Section titled “Updating”KeyMob checks for updates at launch and notifies you when one is available. You can also download the latest build at any time and install it over the current one. Your settings and saved captures are kept.
